Terms and Conditions

Participants must be over 18 years of age and be the owner of the phone being used (that is, the bill payer).

Images should not be offensive, or potentially offensive to any group of people, and must be free of any sexual or incendiary content. Offenders will be held personally responsible and if required, their contact details passed to investigating authorities. Neither Subplotting nor Mid Pennine Arts nor Burnley Youth Theatre can take responsibility for the content of any images received or forwarded. Individuals signing up for the project do so at their own risk. Subplotting reserves the right to remove any image from the project and/or individual that doesn’t comply. Subplotting can use any images from the project for publicity purposes.

If any individual receives an image that they deem offensive then they can alert the Subplotting administrators by contancting us in any of the ways listed in the Contact menu, the offending image will then be pulled out of the game and the participant will be assigned to another story and receive new image.

At any time any participant can text BITMAP STOP or just STOP to 60300 which will result in no further messages sent by us to that mobile phone number.

Each participant’s mobile will be charged a one-off payment of 50p for the sign-up SMS. Participants will also have to pay their network provider for sending a subscription request SMS, downloading images and sending MMS. These charges may vary depending on the provider and tariff but together are usually about 50 pence for UK mobiles. Subplotting cannot refund participants if images are not received, lost, sent to the wrong number, sent outside of the two hour game window or as a result of any technical problems that prevent the project to run as expected.

Subplotting will not use the collected personal data to market other projects and will not provide it to any third parties (except if requested for investigation by legal authorities).

Subplotting do not profit from sign-up payments, all monies are used to sustain the project running costs.
